A classic Old Town cottage on Cotter Street, spacious and open-plan, a short drive from the Gulf.
Sleeps 8 · 3 BR · 1 BA · Steps from the Alister Street shops and restaurants
The Salty Mermaid sits on Cotter Street, the main corridor connecting the historic Alister Street area to the Gulf, putting restaurants, bars, and boutiques within easy walking distance. Inside, an open-concept living and dining layout gives the home an easy, uncluttered feel, with a full kitchen stocked with everything a group needs to cook from scratch. A screened porch off the main living area handles alfresco dining without the bugs. The in-unit washer and dryer rounds out the practical side of a multi-night stay.
Bedrooms
The home sleeps up to 8 guests across 3 bedrooms and 1 full bath. The bed configuration spans a king, queens, and twins, so the layout accommodates families and mixed groups without anyone doubling up on floor space. For groups needing adjacent space, PAVC manages additional bookable units nearby in the same curated portfolio.
Outside
The screened porch is the social hub after a day out, set up for outdoor dining and evening drinks. On-site parking is available on the property. A golf cart, bookable directly through PAVC on the website, makes the trip to the beach and around Old Town quicker and easier.
The setting
Beach Access at East Cotter is about a 10-minute drive from the front door. The heart of Old Town, including the Alister Street shops, Castaways Seafood and Grill, and Shorty's Place (a Port Aransas institution since 1946), is a 5-10 minute walk. For a local hotspot, KC's Oyster Shack is worth planning around: the sign-up sheet goes out at 3pm and fills fast, so add your name early.
