Summary
Port A Vacation Company respects your right to control your personal information. You can request that we delete your account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains what we hold, how to make a deletion request, what we can and cannot delete, and how long it will take.

What we hold
When you create an account or book with us, we may hold:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Your delivery / mailing address
- Booking history (dates, properties, vehicles, activities) and any guest notes you provided
- Payment metadata processed via Stripe — we never store full card numbers
- Messaging history between you and our team (in-app, email, SMS)
- Marketing preferences and SMS opt-in records
- The third-party account identifier (Facebook / Google / Apple) you used to sign in, if any
How to request deletion
Email support@portavacation.co with the subject line “Delete my account”. In the body, include:
- The email address on the account you want deleted
- The full name on the account (so we can verify the request)
- Optionally, the reason for the request
For your security, we may ask you to verify the request from the email address on file before we proceed.
Timeline
We will acknowledge your request within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days in line with California (CCPA) and EU (GDPR) requirements.
What we must keep
Some records are retained even after account deletion because we are legally required to keep them or because they relate to an obligation we still owe a third party:
- Booking and payment records — kept for 7 years to satisfy IRS recordkeeping requirements for accommodation tax and income reporting.
- Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) filings — kept for 4 years to satisfy Texas Comptroller and City of Port Aransas audit windows.
- Anti-fraud / chargeback evidence — kept for 18 months per Stripe and card network rules.
In these cases we anonymize the record where possible (replace your name and email with a hash) so the financial entry remains auditable but cannot be tied back to you.
Disconnecting Facebook, Google, or Apple
If you signed in with Facebook, Google, or Apple, you can also revoke our app's access from the provider's own settings page — that disconnects the sign-in but does not delete your Port A Vacation Company account. To do both, follow the deletion process above AND revoke access at:
- Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations
- Google → Security → Your connections to third-party apps
- Apple → Sign in → Sign in with Apple → Apps using Apple ID
