The Gecko House is a single-story Port Aransas vacation rental with an open-concept living and dining area, a full kitchen, and a private fenced backyard pool. The living area centers on oversized sofas, an accent chair, and a large TV. No stairs, no split levels. On-site parking is available, and a golf cart, bookable directly through PAVC on the website, is the easiest way to reach the beach and Alister Street.
Bedrooms
The home sleeps up to 8 across two bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a king bed, and the second ensuite bedroom has four beds, making it a practical fit for families or two couples traveling together. A crib is on-site for traveling families with an infant. Both bedrooms have room-darkening shades.
Outside
The private fenced backyard anchors the outdoor space with a pool and sun loungers. A charcoal grill and two alfresco dining areas sit just steps away, ready for cooking fresh catch or burgers. An outdoor shower is available for rinsing off after the beach. The second-floor rooftop deck adds a second gathering spot for morning coffee or evening drinks.
The setting
The Ave G beach access is about a 2-minute drive. The Alister Street shops, restaurants, and bars of central Old Town are roughly a 2-minute drive or a 10-15 minute walk. Island dining options include FINS Grill & Icehouse, Tortuga's Saltwater Grill, and Castaways Seafood and Grill. Shorty's Place, anchoring the scene since 1946, is in the same stretch.
